Principal Letter

Welcome to American Montessori Academy. We want to thank you for choosing AMA as your child's home away from home this school year. Our entire staff is excited for a productive year ahead!

Our unique Montessori environment provides each student with individualized learning at his or her level. Our kindergarten classrooms have the support of highly qualified instructional aides.  All of our students and staff have the support of a highly qualified reading specialist and the support of a math and reading interventionist. We believe that all students can achieve at the highest level when the proper supports are in place. One of these supports includes frequent and meaningful school to parent communication and interaction. AMA utilizes Facebook, School Messenger, our website, and a variety of other mechanisms to communicate with families. Also, we urge all parents to volunteer regularly. You can communicate directly with your child's classroom teacher about specific volunteering opportunities that exist. Please do not hesitate to reach out this year if you have any questions or concerns.

Over the past couple of years, we added several new programs to our school, making us a Preschool - 8th grade district. We have three fantastic teachers at the middle school level two of them have over 10 years of experience in educating middle school students! We have Tuition Based Preschool classrooms for ages 2.5 - 4 years old and a Great Start Readiness Preschool (4 years old by 9/1). We have added a host of after school opportunities for our students at both campuses and offer league basketball for our middle school students.

We are thrilled to start the upcoming school year and can't wait to see each and every child soon!
